Management Bios

Robert A. Marr - President, CEO
Robert's interest in construction was passed down from his father, who owned a structural engineering firm in Sacramento for 35 years. In 1975 he attended California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo as an undergraduate engineering student and aspiring baseball player. His love for the outdoors and building, prompted him to transfer to Chico State University, where he graduated with a B.S. in business administration and a minor in construction management.

After Graduation in 1979, he started working for large commercial construction firm in Sacramento as a field engineer and was later promoted to superintendent, upholding the responsibility of $50 million dollars worth of construction. In 1982 he obtained his general contractors license and started Robert Marr Construction, Inc. in Sacramento. Robert's love for the mountains brought him to Truckee in 1986 to continue with his construction activities, where his trademark projects span the Tahoe Basin.

Robert is married with two young boys and remains active in all aspects of the Truckee/Tahoe Community.

Gerry Rodríguez - Vice President
Gerry began his career in architecture in 1988 with the Swanke Hayden Connell Architecture firm in London, England. His interest in building and design earned him a B.S. in Environmental Design and Building from the University of Colorado in 1989. Throughout his career he has worked for many architecture and construction firms gaining an invaluable knowledge of the building process.

Gerry joined the Robert Marr Construction Inc. team in June 2003. He currently holds the position of Vice President of RMC's highly successful commercial development operation. Gerry's unique experience as an architect of both residential and commercial properties and his project management skills, provides RMC and our customers insightful perspective of the complete project. In addition to Gerry's many accomplishments, he has been published in: Interiors, Interior design, Metropolis, Presstime, NZ Home and Garden, and Ski. He is a member of the Historic Preservation Advisory Commission, Commissioner, Town of Truckee, Ca. Gerry is fluent in Spanish and has conversational knowledge of Italian and French. Gerry is a proud father and husband.

Denise Wiliams - Corporate Controller
Denise's experience in the accounting field spans more than twenty years. After earning a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno she managed the accounting for Food and Beverage operations at Northstar, one of Tahoe's major destination resorts for more than 15 years. Denise started with Robert Marr Construction in 2002, where she currently holds the position of Corporate Controller. In this capacity, Denise manages all accounting and financial transactions for the company. Denise also works in conjunction with the project managers to maintain each project budget and generate monthly reports and transaction processing for individual project owners.

Denise has lived in Truckee for 25 years and enjoys hiking, biking, x-country skiing and golfing. She is also a member of an international peace organization, working to make the world a better place.
